In anticipation of effects to come
Posted by Gayle Gifford on May 12, 2008
I’m fortunate to live in a city that is infused with the creative energy of artists. A large part of that is being the home of the Rhode Island School of Design.
RISD’s most recent president Roger Mandle has stepped down to be replaced by John Maeda this summer.
The video interview with John Maeda that RISD has posted on its web site is a tantalizing offer to great things to come. It’s not the typical college president look at the future.? Having listened to college presidents at my kids schools, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the differences between the typical president’s introduction and this one. Check it out at: http://www.risd.edu/president/
Can’t wait to see the impact he’ll have on RISD and our city.
